Picture Perfect Birthday Case the Catalogue Inksomniacs Team Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the Insomniacs Team Blog Hop!!

I have been so excited to play with the Picture Perfect Birthday suite. Amazingly, I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone using such bright and bold colour combinations... but I've loved it!!

I've used Bermuda Bay for the card base and stamped the little confetti stamp multiple times in Bermuda bay then layered some Picture Perfect Birthday Designer Series Paper banners. I loved the look of the paper ribbon so created that look with my snips using a strip of Berry Burst.

Those doughnuts look soooo tasty, they almost jump right off the card.... don't they?! What fun Designer Series Paper!!

I have stamped the Treat Yourself sentiment in Bermuda Bay on Lemon Lime Twist and popped up on dimensionals and adhered the Happy Birthday.

There was more than one reason I chose this stamp set and DSP. I challenged myself to pick something that I normally wouldn't do. I have been pleasantly surprised by the cards and creations that I have made and the response from customers has been amazing!!

To continue the Blog Hop click the next name in the list after mine (I'm Tanya Kane) and enjoy!  And don't forget to come back and visit for more ideas and inspiration!

Sale-A-Bration + Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Picture Perfect Party DSP

Well I have to tell you that I get a little nervous using bright and bold colour combinations, but a quite a few ladies that attend my classes couldn't wait to get their hands on the Picture Perfect Party designer series paper.... so who am I to argue?! LOL

This Designer paper with the coordinating cardstock makes crafting just that much easier!

Once the cutting of the card bases was done, a black mat and then a layer of DSP... pop on a sentiment and your home and hosed. WOW!! 30 cards done, DSP spare. The first time in a very long time that I have used an entire pack of paper in one sitting - although I do like to get a jump on bulk producing as I have many card customers that submit large card orders at the beginning of each year and I love giving them quite a variety of choice.

Sale-A-Bration + Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Party Pandas & Picture Perfect Party DSP

Sale-A-Bration + Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Party Pandas & Picture Perfect Party DSP

How cheeky is this little panda?! I had this card in my mind the second I saw it and have finally been able to sit down and create it.

I have used Bermuda Bay as the card base, layered a Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper as a card front, stamped the cheeky little panda on whisper white and fussy cut him out. I have used the Balloon Framelits balloon as I felt the little balloon that was attached to the panda was not big enough to lift his arm ;). The sentiment is from Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.

Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Bubble Over and Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series paper Card 5

This is a really quick card and easy card. I've cased (Copied and Shared everything), but have used the Designer Series Paper rather than stamping the images. These bottle tops were punched out using a circle punch as I don't have time to fussy cut.

I have used gold thread and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.

Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Bubble Over and Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series paper Card 4

I love using the little bubbles for background stamping in the Bermuda Bay Banner, really makes the bottle pop! Basic grey matted with some Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper. I have stamped the sentiment straight onto the DSP, perhaps should have used a different colour but really cute sentiment... May your day BUBBLE OVER with happiness.

Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Bubble Over and Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series paper Card 3

Bubble Over and Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series paper Card 3

I must be honest. When I first saw these colours they didn't all float my boat. But by the time this card was created they started growing on me.

Sometimes working with a lot of colours is a little overwhelming for me, however, the more that I've used these papers the more comfortable I'm becoming with them all.

The below card again is on a Bermuda Bay card base matted with grey and then a piece of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper. Again, I've cut the bottles out of the DSP using the framelits. I've used the Stitched Oval dies to create a tray for the bottles to sit on and the Glitter & Clear Epoxy shape in a teardrop accents the bottle.

Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Bubble Over and Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series paper card 2

I've decided that I love this set so much and can see so many possibilities that I've created my quite a few cards for future card classes.

This screams an Australian Summer to me. A cider on the deck.... just so refreshing, and I love the cool sentiment of  "Your Kindness is Most Refreshing".

I've used a Bermuda Bay card base and used the framelits to cut the bottles out of the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series paper, popped it onto some Wood Textures Designer Series Paper as a table, the little limes are also from the DSP pack and simply used a circle punch - I don't have time to fussy cut!

Occasions Catalogue 2018 - Bubble Over and Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper

I'm just loving the Stampin' Up! 2018 Occasions Catalogue!

One of my favourites is the Bubble Over Stamp set and coordinating Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies.

Love that Stampin' Up! have some bright fun Designer Series Paper that matches this set beautifully. For every $90 AUD spend you can get your hands on this freebie (from the 3rd of Jan - 31st May 2018), during Sale-A-Bration.

For this card I used a Whisper white base, matted with Crisp Cantaloupe and Basic Black. I used the smallest Heart framelit and cut a heart out of the Designer Series Paper and one out of Crisp Cantaloupe. Offsetting the heart creates a black shadow called an eclipse. I've popped the Crisp Cantaloupe heart up on dimensionals. The Love is from Sunshine Wishes framelits.
